Painting Flower Pots

Planting Seeds
Gardening is educational and develops new skills including:

Responsibility - caring for plants
Understanding - as they learn about cause and effect (for example, plants die without water...)
Self-confident - achieving goals of growing a plant
Reasoning and Discovery - learning about the science of plants
Physical Activity - doing something fun and productive
Cooperation - including shared play activity and teamwork

"What Do Plants Need?" Flip Book
The Pre-K kiddos created a flip book in order to show their understanding of what plants need in order to grow. Ask your kiddo if they can tell you! (sun, soil, water, air)

Parts of a Flower Craft
A fun and engaging way for children to learn the different parts that make up a flower!

Seed Sorting
Great activity for comparing different seeds. Also works on developing fine motor skills!

Play-dough Bouquets
The children had a very fun time creating flower bouquets! The kiddos put play dough inside the flower pots and then arranged the flowers, sticking the stems into the play dough. They were very proud of their work.
