Community Helpers ... continued!

 Who am I?
The kiddos were engaged during this fun, interactive community helpers game! In this "Who am I" game, students took turns guessing the community helper. Clues include tools they may use, what they do, and where they may work.

Community Helpers BINGO!
This fun bingo game helped the children recognize and name community helpers.

Community Helpers

There are so many people that help us in our community! From doctors and dentists, teachers and mail carries, construction workers and police officers, and firefighters and nurses, the list goes on. These community helpers are so interesting for little ones to learn about and discover what they do to help our community, the equipment they need for their jobs, and the uniforms they wear. Here is the weekly overview:

Dentist: Roll & Brush
Who can brush their tooth clean? This dentist game is a great math game. We started by drawing 10 "sugar bugs" on our tooth with a dry erase marker, then rolled the dice. We counted to dots and then brushed the same number of sugar bugs using a toothbrush. This was one of our favorite activities this week because we got to use real toothbrushes!
