All About Me...continued!

This week we continued our All About Me unit!

Unique Handprints
We began the week working on our fine motor skills tearing construction paper to create a beautiful frame for our handprints. Tearing paper is an amazing fine motor activity! Tearing paper requires strength and endurance of the small muscles in the hand. These small muscles are important in learning how to write, managing buttons and zippers, and more!

How Long is Your Shoe?
The Pre-K kiddos used bear counters, pumpkin seeds and unifix cubes to measure the length of their shoe. This activity helped us to practice one-to-one correspondence and understanding the concept of length and what it means to measure something.

Look How Tall I Am!
This week we measured how tall we are. It is exciting to see how much the kiddos grow throughout the year.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

I want to be a grandpa when I grow up because I like to be grandpa. I’m going to play the Monster game with my grandchildren. I’m going to be a grandpa when Im 10 years old.

I want to be a dad when I grow up because I’m a boy.  I’m going to do English work. I’m going to play Shot Cap with my kids.

When I grow up I want to plant blueberries because my dad and grandpa gave me blueberries. When I grow up I want to eat beef.  I want to plant cookies because my grandpa gave me cookies and I eat, and I eat, and I eat.

I want to be a mom and dad and make cookies for my kids. My favorite job is going to school because I love to color.

I want to be a pirate when I grow up because I want to fly airplanes. I’m going to say “I want to be a pirate!” I would sit down and drive.

I want to be a mommy when I grow up!

Isla - I want to be a cooker when I grow up because I like to cook. I like to cook cookies and pies but now I’m busy. I’m going to cook chicken the most.
